WORKING FROM HOME
What you need to work from home
What was once a privilege for some—setting up a home office—has now become common for many. There are many advantages, but there are also some drawbacks; it can mean an extra expense that some companies are unwilling to cover. To help with this issue, below I’ve listed some discounts and affordable products that I’ve found for you. These are affiliate links to products that I have bought or would buy. I hope you find them useful.
The minimum essentials for working from home and setting up your virtual office are:
- A computer or laptop.
- Internet.
- Phone or mobile.
- Headphones and microphone.
- Printer.
- Office supplies.
- Office furniture:
- A spacious desk.
- A chair, preferably ergonomic.
- A well-ventilated room with enough space.
The current health crisis due to COVID-19 has forced many companies to change the way their employees work.
Thanks to modern technology, it is possible to work from home almost in the same way as in the company office. It’s even possible to hold meetings online using tools like Zoom, etc.
The only thing we miss is the closeness with our colleagues, because even though you can communicate via chat and messaging (WhatsApp, Skype, etc.), we lack those knowing glances, the wink that says it all, and the camaraderie.
But we must get used to working this way because the journey will be long, and we have to see the positive side of it. In this case, we are taking part in an advanced master’s degree in communication, IT, and time management, right?
It’s important to have the right tools to perform your tasks in the best way possible, so you should know what tools can make your day-to-day easier:
